Michael Perry is a Navajo jewelry artist whose work brings traditional silversmithing techniques into a distinctly contemporary style. Growing up around Native American artists, Perry was introduced to jewelry making through his parents, who were silversmiths. He later began working with their tools and experimenting with techniques and designs of his own, developing the individual style for which his jewelry is recognized today.

Perry is particularly known for overlay, tufa casting, and stone inlay, often combining these techniques within a single piece. His work frequently features high-grade natural turquoise and rich red Mediterranean coral, using both bezel-set stones and precisely fitted inlay to create strong contrasts of color, texture, and silver. His jewelry ranges from rings and bracelets to bolos, buckles, pendants, and other substantial statement pieces.

While his work reflects the traditions of Navajo jewelry, Perry brings a modern approach to composition and design.
