Traditional sterling silverwork, hand-sawn Navajo rug-pattern overlay, and detailed stone inlay come together in this one-of-a-kind necklace. High-grade natural Sleeping Beauty turquoise from Arizona is carried throughout the design, from the central stone and pendant inlay to the handmade sterling silver beads.
The pendant centers on a natural Sleeping Beauty turquoise cabochon set in an intricate hand-sawn castellated bezel. The individually cut and spaced silverwork creates a dimensional frame around the stone, drawing attention to its vivid blue color and natural character.
Encircling the turquoise is Michael Perry’s hand-sawn Navajo rug-pattern overlay, contrasted against the textured tufa-cast silver beneath. Additional Sleeping Beauty turquoise is precisely inlaid into the geometric accents of the pendant, adding color throughout the rug-inspired design rather than limiting the turquoise to the center stone.
The artistry continues into the necklace itself. Handmade sterling silver beads are accented with Sleeping Beauty turquoise inlay, carrying the turquoise and silver combination from the pendant through the entire necklace. A coordinating turquoise-inlaid bail completes the design and creates a seamless transition between the pendant and beads.
Finished in .925 sterling silver, the necklace bears Michael Perry’s MP hallmark on the reverse.
