Traditional sterling silverwork takes center stage in this one-of-a-kind pendant, combining hand-sawn Navajo rug-pattern overlay, intricate stone inlay, and detailed tufa-cast texture. Natural Kingman, Arizona turquoise is framed by a hand-sawn castellated bezel, while Mediterranean coral inlay adds rich contrast throughout the design.
The castellated bezel is individually cut and spaced around the turquoise, creating a dimensional frame that draws the eye toward the stone’s vivid blue color and distinctive natural matrix.
Encircling the turquoise is a hand-sawn Navajo rug-pattern overlay, set against the textured surface of the tufa-cast silver. The contrast between the polished overlay and recessed texture gives the pendant depth and emphasizes the precision involved in the saw work.
Red Mediterranean Coral is finely inlaid throughout the pendant, appearing within the triangular accents of the rug design, continuing around the entire outer edge, and extending into the bail. The continuous red inlay provides a striking contrast to the blue turquoise and brings the different elements of the design together.
Finished in .925 sterling silver, the pendant bears Michael Perry’s MP hallmark on the reverse.
