The pendant is constructed with a sterling silver foundation topped by a carefully hand-sawn 14K gold overlay, which is soldered to the silver to create the detailed surrounding design.
At the center, the richly colored blue stone is framed by a 14K gold bezel featuring individually hand-cut designs, adding another level of detail around the lapis. The contrast of deep blue against warm gold draws attention to the stone while showcasing the precision involved in the handwork.
The substantial bail continues the mixed-metal craftsmanship, with etched detailing in the sterling silver and stamped designs on the 14K gold.
